About Mrs. Dworak
I grew up on a farm in Monmouth, IL, about three hours away. After attending a K-12 school, I went to college at the University of Kansas where I met my husband (Go Jayhawks!) Soon after, I received my Master's in Education from Aurora University. I was extremely lucky to do my student teaching in the district at Lake in the Hills Elementary with a wonderful mentor, Mrs. Trent. I taught 2nd grade at Lake in the Hills Elementary for seven years and I am so excited to begin my 3rd year at HES in 3rd grade! We have three daughters Addison(7), Ellie(5), and Delanie(9 months). We reside in Huntley.
I have had some wonderful teachers in my life and it is because of those outstanding educators that I became a teacher. One of my favorite subjects to teach is reading. I truly enjoy reading with and to my students each and every day. It is my hope that my love for reading will be passed on to my students and they will become life-long learners!
When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, and eating Mexican food. Feel free to visit our third grade classroom to see what fun things we are learning about this year!
